We took a Christmas quiz on Wednesday evening. It's amazing how many things you thought you knew about the Christmas story aren't really there. I got Mary and Joseph and Bethlehem right.

Did you know there may not have been 3 wise men? That they didn't visit the manger scene? That there may have been no donkey with Joseph and Mary? That the little drummer boy was not there?

Traditions are important, but we need to remember there is a version of the story which can be depended upon. And that for centuries before the event it was written about to the minutest detail.
