It's been awhile...we are having a celebration so I thought I would add some information here. We are in the process of looking for a new permanent pastor. Baptist churches do this independently of hierarchy with each congregation selecting the person called to them. One of the new features of this is a trained interim. They are trained to help those left without pastoral leadership to work through the changes which follow a minister resignation, retirement, or death.

We are finishing our first interval. The first task is to manage memories in a way that helps with the loss and looks at the happy times in the past. We  look at the mission of the church in this place.

This celebration will take place on Sunday evening. We are expecting a good crowd for the discussions and dinner.
